Scientific and practical conference of AEAT
Public association " Adult Education Association of Tajikistan" (AEAT) with the support of DVV International held the 3d Scientific-practical conference on the theme "Implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 – Goal # 4 to ensure access to quality education for all in the context of Tajikistan" in Dushanbe. The conference was held on November 2, 2016 at the Ismaili Centre and brought together over 70 participants from all over the country, including representatives from government agencies, business, international and local NGOs, the mass media, scientists and experts in the field of education.
The presentations covered the various aspects of education - from the statistics and forecasting the aging of the population up to the development of state programs for the implementation of sustainable development goals by 2030 and the implementation of projects for adult education at the local level by the various NGOs. The most interesting presentations have been included in the form of an article with the permission of authors in the annual publication "Adult Education in Tajikistan". The conference created a platform for dialogue and exchange of views of various stakeholders on the theme of quality education and was organized at a high level.

"The conference was organized at a high level and the theme of the conference was and remains relevant to the agenda of world leaders and is also important for ordinary citizens. Because sustainable development goals are directed to all - the developed, developing and poor countries of the world, and no one should be left behind in its implementation. Only by working together we can achieve good results in achieving the SDGs by 2030".
Also, on November 3rd was held the annual meeting of AEAT with the participation of members of the association, during the meeting the activities of 2016 and strategic plans for 2017 were discussed. Also, at the meeting new members were elected by voting, and MicroInvest MCF was elected as a new member by unanimous votes of the AEAT members.
