Schoolchildren can only dream of a wonderful and memorable vacation during the winter holidays, and we are able to create unforgettable and fun holidays! CREATE Digiyouth project implemented by MicroInvest MCF in Sughd region with the support of the US Embassy in Tajikistan presented a lot of joyful impressions, creative ideas and top entrepreneurship skills to schoolchildren of the remote Jamoat Ovchi Kalach in B. Gafurov district, Sughd region. The project is being implemented since October 2017 and will end at the end of March 2018.
The goal of the project is to promote self-employment and develop entrepreneurship skills among young people in remote regions through trainings on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, digital literacy and creative thinking and their use in entrepreneurship activity. Schoolchildren learned a lot of informative and interesting things during the series of trainings and workshops on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, digital literacy and learned the top skills of entrepreneurship among young people, which brings income - design painting and drawings on T-shirts, creative approach in upcycling of used plastic bottles, crafting handmade bracelets, clutches and bows, how to give a new life to old furniture, etc. during the winter holidays. Trainers conducted trainings using interactive methods and the Harvard Methodology show-how and hands-on experience (show-how to make and practical experience)!
As a result of the trainings not only the participants of the three remote schools were satisfied, but also the teachers and the administration of these schools were happy as well. At the request of the project participants, a number of Young Entrepreneur School sessions will be held for them to exchange experience and knowledge among participants, showcase their work, and generate new ideas for entrepreneurship! Despite the severe winter weather conditions in January, participants actively and willingly attended classes. Next step, participants of the training will participate in the sessions of Young entrepreneurs’ school and at the end of the project they will demonstrate their knowledge and skills at the exhibition of works in March, 2018.
Cheers for Young entrepreneurs of the Ovcha Kalacha Jamoat!
