Global Money Week (GMW) is an annual global event initiated by CYFI, which includes local and regional events and activities designed to inspire children and young people to learn more about money and savings, how to earn, find employment and start their own business.
GMW is an international week, which includes many events, classes, projects, presentations and competitions that take place in more than 130 countries around the world with a growing number of participants around the world every year. For example, in 2016 the number of countries participating in the GMW was 132, and the number of participants reached 7 million and these figures will grow every year!
This year the Global Money Week was held from March 27 to April 2 around the world on the topic "Learn. Save. Earn".
MDO Arvand and MCF MicroInvest also actively participated during this week and jointly conducted 5 events in the universities and schools of Khujand and Gafurov with coverage of 230 people in just a week.
Event organizers received a lot of positive feedback from participants of the event, including feedback from the administration of universities, schools, colleges and the American Corner. All this shows that the team of trainers of MicroInvest and Arvand achieved good results by involving children and young people to the celebration of Global Money Week, which contributed to raising the awareness of participants on Financial literacy.
Here are some feedbacks from participants of the events:
"Thank you for an interesting training that helped me to learn about Global Money Week and I'm glad that I participated in Global Money Week and received a certificate. It would be great to organize regularly such trainings. "
"I liked to participate in the Global Money Week, as this week is aimed at increasing the financial literacy of children and young people and this is really important for the future. At the training I saw videos about youth entrepreneurship and the videos strongly motivate me to learn and develop further to become a successful businessman. I thank the organizers for the training as I learned a lot of interesting and useful things".
In their turn, MDO Arvand and MCF MicroInvest are pleased with the results achieved and intend to contribute annually to the celebration of Global Money Week and to expand the coverage of this campaign to increase the financial awareness of the country's population.
